Happy Owl-oween!

Hiya friends!

I am finalizing the details and decorations of my upcoming Halloween party and look forward to having a spooky ol' time this Saturday. Perhaps I will post photos, yes? :) What are you going to be doing this year for Hallow's Eve?

I didn't get to making as many Halloween cards as I had hoped, but this is one that I have been wanting to make using this My Mind's Eye line for awhile! I love the die cut stickers; they are just so easy and quick to make cards.

I'll be back tomorrow for the Raise the Bar Challenge. See you then!

Ink - Tuxedo Black (Memento), Pumpkin Pie (Stampin' Up!)

Just wanted to shout out to Sparkle and my new friends Peggy and Aileen (AKA Spike). I hung out with these ladies this past Saturday evening and we were chatting about papercrafting, stamps and Copics through the wee hours of the morning! LOL

Thanks for the laughs, ladies!

Welcome... and happy Friday!!!

The day that I have been patiently waiting for is here! LOL The leaves are certainly turning as you can see in the background of this photo and Halloween is literally just around the corner now. It is my favourite holiday of the year and as always, I like to go BIG for it. ;)

This week at Raise the Bar, Joni has challenged us to make black and orange projects. That doesn't necessarily mean you need to make a Halloween related project, but hey why not? LOL

Hope to see you playing along with us! If you upload to any online galleries, please label RTB80 for your keywords.

Farm Fresh Spy Day - Yoga Anya

Hello readers! Can you believe it's already Thursday and that I will be back tomorrow with the Raise the Bar Challenge of the week?!! Geesh, how did the week go by so fast?
This past weekend I was up in Whistler celebrating a girlfriend's birthday. She is a fellow yoga guru so I knew that I wanted to make a birthday card that was empowering the body and at peace with the mind. Her favourite colour is purple and so I had a colour scheme in mind.

Doesn't she look like she is in such a relaxed state... and she's glowing!

The inspiration for this layout came from the Farm Fresh Challenge Blog. This week's case came courtesy of Rachel's card as seen below:

Thanks so much for stopping by... your comments ALWAYS warm my heart.

Deconstructed TGF Savannah

Hey there, blog readers! I hope your week is going well so far...

Mine sure has with this card I have going on here! I needed to make a card for a friend for her birthday and last year, she was a burlesque girl for Halloween. When I saw this image from The Greeting Farm, I knew I had to have it! It's been in hibernation for the past while and I'm so glad that I was able to ink it up and colour with my Copics.

I needed a layout inspiration and I knew that my colour scheme was going to be black and turquoise (the colours of my friend's dress last Halloween) so I turned to the Deconstructed Sketch as well as the Farm Fresh Challenge's Monday Fun-Day challenge. Jen's sketch can be seen below and the Farm Fresh Challenge was black, white and one other colour... PERFECT!

What are the chances that luck would be in  my favour and that I would be the winner of both the challenges!! Woot woot! But I was so busy last week that you're only seeing this card on my blog now. Ooops.

Thanks for stopping by with me today (ahem, late in the day and all lol)!

Supplies:
Stamps - Savannah (The Greeting Farm), On Your Birthday (Stampin' Up!)
Paper - Stampin' Up!, Piggy Tales, Hammermill
Ink - Tuxedo Black (Memento), turquoise (Versacolor)
Accessories - Copic markers, lace doily punch (Marta Stewart), oval Nestabilities (Spellbinders), flourishes dies (Quickutz), Swiss dots embossing folder (Provo Craft), pearls (Kaiser), ribbon (Offray)

Keepin' Busy and Apartment View

Dear friends,

I haven't posted because I've been a busy gal! Every time I want to try to sit down and post - something draws me away. When I have time to post, I am too tired to get on the computer and upload and write... eek!

Have no fear though, I need to catch up SOON. How do you like the view from my apartment balcony on Saturday morning?

Have Hope

Hello blog readers; I hope you're having a good Tuesday so far.

I was feeling under the weather today and decided to stay home from work. I had a really busy weekend that consisted of a lot of shopping, a pumpkin patch (as seen in yesterday's post), a baby shower and a dinner party. Needless to say, my body decided to tell me "I've had enough" and so I'm just resting up.

Today's card is something I made with Close To My Heart's Hope for Japan stamp set. I wanted to make something that could be altered to represent breast cancer, any cancer support or someone who is going through a hard time. I've always been attracted to pale yellows and creams for encouragement cards so this is what I came up:

A simple yet thoughtful card. I used a Stampin' Up's retired Script background and the phrase inside states:

Life doesn't always happen just as we planned, but I plan to be there for you always.

If you know anyone who is going though a hard time, I encourage you to take a moment and let them know you're there for them. For those of you who are going through something rough yourselves, I am sending an extra hug with positive vibes your way.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Supplies:
Stamps - Hope for Japan (CTMH), Script, Hard to Say (Stampin' Up!)
Paper - Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, So Saffron (Stampin' Up!)
Ink - Early Espresso, Crumb Cake (Stampin' Up!)
Accessories - polka dot (Maya Arts)
